New features in google webmaster tools

I've just noticed a new feature in the google webmaster tools, under the 'diagnostics' tab, there is a new one called 'labs'. beneath this heading there are two new tools, the first , 'fetch as googlebot' seems to be a facility to display your page as google sees it. This is not revolutionary, since there have been several tools that can do a similar job and they've been around for a while now.

The second tools is called 'malware detection' - this looks to be a tool to report any malware issues with your website. Sometimes if a site gets hacked, it shows up in the google search results with a message like 'this site may harm your computer' - this new tool will show you more details about where the risk is, and will probably have the ability to report to google that the malware has been removed. This facility is already available without webmaster tools, but it makes sense to include it in the central admin area too.
